Westgate House Care Centre support Samaritans Purse Operations Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal

Residents and team members have been busy supporting Christ Church in Ware in gathering special items for the Children’s Christmas Shoe Box appeal, which aims to bring joy, love and hope to children in need around the world.

Residents at Westgate House Care Centre have spent the past couple of weeks preparing beautiful Christmas shoe boxes with a selection of fun toys, puzzles, hygiene items and school supplies as well as some extra special items such as cuddly teddies and dolls.

Activities Coordinator Rosie said We are proud to be supporting the Samaritans Purse Operations Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal- collecting and preparing all of these items has brought joy to all of our residents, it truly is a special cause’.

Shoeboxes are sent to children aged between 2-14 with age-appropriate items ranging from essentials like toothbrushes to school supplies and of course, cuddly toys. Thank you to residents and team members at Westgate House for taking part!
