Riverdale Care Home Supports Trussell Trust Foodbank in conjunction with Tesco Witham

Riverdale Care Home invited family and staff members to kindly collect and donate items for a Foodbank based in Witham. Family members happily came together for this worthy cause and donated much- needed items such as tinned food, tea, coffee, sugar, sweet biscuits and cereals to name a few, to help others who are in need at this time of year.

Renata Sulugiuc said ‘I am very glad to be helping out in out local community and giving back to those less fortunate’. Riverdale Care Home fundraise and support many charities throughout the year and this one is particularly important due to the current cost of living climate. Residents and family members got involved, helping to make and design the donation box, labelled ‘Spreading Christmas Cheer’.

Customer Relations Manager, Lynda Inch, also supported in-store on Saturday 1st December for two hours, creating awareness of the appeal and taking monetary donations for the Trussell Trust.

Customer Relations Manager Lynda Inch said ‘Everyone has been very kind with their generous donations so far. It is because our local community is so important to us that we would like to be able to provide the donations of food to Witham Food Bank. It’s important to do our bit and boost donations and raise further awareness’.
