Residents at Chestnut Manor Care Home were ewe-phoric to meet and cuddle adorable newborn Easter lamb

As spring blooms and Easter approaches, Chestnut Manor Care Home held a fantastic Easter event on Monday 25th March, it was a day filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories for beloved residents, their families, and the local community.

Transforming into a vibrant hub of Easter festivities, activities included an Easter egg hunt, craft corner and games. A 5-week-old lamb lit up the faces of all residents and visitors, where they were able to pet and cuddle the special guest.

Charmed residents said the lamb was “absolutely gorgeous” and they “didn’t want to give him back”. In addition, a relative brought in their pet guinea pigs for all guests to hold and stroke.

Guests also enjoyed the delights of Easter hot cross buns, chocolate crispy nests and refreshments. Everyone who took part in the hunt was given a chocolate treat to take home with them.

Residents also had a special visit from the Easter bunny – our very own Head of Sales, David Martin. In the preceding days, residents made their own wonderful decorations to go on display in the lounge, dining room and garden.

Rosie Monger, Home Manager said “At Chestnut Manor we aim to offer the very best care and support to our residents and their families based on our core values of which respect and dignity are but two. Seeing the residents interacting with the young lamb was incredibly heart-warming. I want to thank my amazing team for giving our residents a truly wonderful experience! Animal therapy plays a huge part in residents’ wellbeing and to see their smiles and hear the conversations the visit elicited proves that. I wish everyone a very Happy Easter.”

Chestnut Manor provides a warm, supportive environment where residents can thrive and create cherished memories with their loved ones.
