Team members join Mission EmployAble Santa Dash

On Saturday 9th December, our Marketing Manager and Finance Business Partner from Head Office took part in a 5km Santa Dash for raising funds for Mission EmployAble, as part of their ongoing relationship with Burford House Care Home.

Chorleywood Common was flooded with fabulous costumes and determined runners where over 70 people from the local area showed up to take part. With the warm-up hosted by the Grinch and Mrs Claus, and the medals handed out by Shirlie Kemp it’s fair to say that the event was a huge success!

One of Burford’s residents joined in the celebrations, alongside Burford’s Activity Co-Ordinator, by walking 2.5km around the course. Birinder said, “It was a lovely festive event, spreading Christmas cheer on a very wet and windy day. We feel honoured to be helping Mission EmployAble and look forward to continuing our support in future years.”

Burford House Care Home are proud to be supporting Mission EmployAble, a social enterprise charity working in partnership with The Chorleywood Cricket Club, whose vision is ‘fulfilling lives for people with learning disabilities’ by being afforded opportunities to train and be employed, being valued in the workplace and playing an active role in their local community.
