Long standing team members at Westgate Healthcare

Westgate Healthcare has been a stable employer since the company launched in 1999, offering extensive on-site team training, career progression pathways, a variety of rewards and initiatives as well as embedding traditional ‘family’ values into their framework.

The care group has many long-standing members spanning over fifteen years who have grown within the company, and are continuing to develop their careers within Westgate Healthcare.

Tinca is a Head Housekeeper at Westgate House Care Centre in Ware, Hertfordshire. Working for over eight years she has trained and been promoted from Domestic Assistant taking on dual roles in the home and has supported nearby homes with staffing vacancies.

During 2015, Tinca was appointed Housekeeping Team Leader, leading ten people in her team. Tinca embeds the values of Westgate Healthcare, hiring people who are driven, compassionate and passionate about care, not discriminating on age or disability.

Head Housekeeper, Tinca, said: “We’re like a family and are always here for the residents. We have a lovely team and we enjoy what we do, we love speaking and interacting with each and every individual.”

Although Tinca works full-time at Westgate Healthcare, she is also studying Criminology at Degree Level, stating “do not judge a book by its cover” working in various roles across Westgate Healthcare group, she is described as educated, hardworking, and ambitious.

Tinca’s story is very similar to many other long-serving team members at Westgate Healthcare who strive to provide the best possible service at their home and do so with compassion and care whilst growing, learning, supporting and teaching within their roles.
