I have always found all staff very helpful and always willing to help. I had confidence that mum's last year or so would be spent in a safe and caring environment and in her last weeks she received outstanding end of life care- nothing was too much. Also, my brother and myself were attended to in a most considerate way, at a time when it was most required. Daughter of Hampden Hall resident

My husband hates respite but managed to survive two weeks! The woman who ran the floor was brilliant and they made sure he was in the lounge everyday. There was an "entertainer" singing, talking etc- most of the time and there always seemed to be sufficient staff around. In a lot of homes the staff ratios appear too low, the staff were pro-active and very helpful to me. Am considering getting him back for another break if they have room. Two of the biggest problems are lack of respite places and inability to book in advance. Wife of Hampden Hall resident

Seven years ago I looked at five Nursing Homes before selecting Hampden Hall to look after my wife. Why Hampden Hall? What impressed me was the happy atmosphere amongst the staff. You all seemed to have a lovely friendly team spirit. I believed that a happy team would give better care and over the last seven years, you have proved me right. I could have asked for nothing better than the care with which you looked after her. As a visitor, I was always made to feel I was amongst friends. This is the soft side of caring. It really matters and made my time with my wife so much better. Husband of Hampden Hall resident

The care and support given to my friend was exemplary- I could not have wished for more in his final chapter. Every staff member who came into contact with him was so kind and caring. Hampden Hall is a beautiful home, so well- appointed, bright and cheerful. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you. Friend of Resident.
