On Friday 27th June, residents from Burford House Care Home embraced the beauty of summer with a memorable visit to the Sarratt Flower Festival, held at Holy Cross Church in the picturesque village of Sarratt. This special trip was part of our resident wellbeing programme and our continued commitment to building strong relationships with the local community.
A Community-Inspired Day Out Based on Resident Feedback
The outing was born from direct resident feedback, where many expressed a desire to participate in more off-site events and local activities. In response, the Burford House team planned this uplifting visit to one of the area’s most cherished summer festivals, and it didn’t disappoint!
Floral Displays, Local Talent and Cherished Memories
The Sarratt Flower Festival provided a true feast for the senses, with an array of stunning floral arrangements created by local groups and community members. Residents were especially delighted by the warm atmosphere and the creative displays filling the historic church space. One of the highlights of the day was enjoying performances by local school children, which brought plenty of smiles and sparked fond memories of family, community and years gone by.
