Across our homes, we believe birthdays should always be something special – no matter the age. At Burford House Care Home in Chorleywood, Stanley, one of our much loved residents turned an incredible 102 years young and he celebrated in style.
To mark the occasion, our team went the extra mile and organised for Stanley to attend a memorable evening at Watford Football Stadium. He enjoyed watching a live match surrounded by the buzz and excitement of the crowd. The game ended in a 1–1 draw, but the true highlight came when Stanley’s birthday wishes lit up the stadium screen, reading: “Happy 102nd Birthday Stanley.”
Seeing Stanley’s smile as his milestone was celebrated in such a special way was priceless.
