Five years ago, Chestnut Manor reopened its doors and began a new chapter. Westgate Healthcare redeveloped and reopened the property five years ago as a purpose-built care home, creating a modern and welcoming setting designed around the needs and wellbeing of its residents. Since then, the home has grown into a place filled with strong relationships and a wonderful sense of community.
To mark five years since reopening, residents, families and colleagues came together in the courtyard for a special anniversary celebration. The afternoon brought everyone together to enjoy good food, live music, dancing and time spent with one another.
Setting Up for a Special Celebration
The courtyard was transformed for the occasion. Creating the perfect setting for residents, families and the team to come together and celebrate this important milestone.
The afternoon had an afternoon tea theme, with a delicious spread prepared by Regional Chef Cristian and the kitchen team. Tables were filled with sandwiches, salads, cakes, brownies and sweet treats, alongside cups of tea.
There was plenty to enjoy, but the best part was having so many members of the Chestnut Manor community together in one place.

An Afternoon Tea with a Difference
The anniversary celebration was all about bringing people together, and the afternoon certainly delivered. Residents enjoyed the food, chatted with their families and spent time with the team who make Chestnut Manor the home it is today.
Mr and Mrs Patel, owners of Westgate Healthcare, also joined the celebrations to mark the special milestone. They spent time with residents and the team, enjoying the afternoon and even joining residents on the dance floor.
It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate not only five years of Chestnut Manor, but also the people who have made those five years so special.

Music, Dancing and Plenty of Energy
The courtyard was soon filled with entertainment as a live singer got the celebrations underway.
Residents were invited to come out and enjoy the performance, and it wasn’t long before the music had people dancing along. The celebrations didn’t stop at the courtyard either, with members of the team getting involved and even having a boogie in the corridors!

A Huge Thank You to the Chestnut Manor Team
A celebration like this takes plenty of teamwork behind the scenes, and a huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the anniversary such a special occasion.
A particular thank you goes to Donna, Activities Lead; Lucie, Group Wellbeing Manager; Carl, Head of Hospitality; Cristian, Regional Chef; and Tomasz, Maintenance, for the time, care and effort they put into making the day happen.
Of course, the celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the wider Chestnut Manor team, whose hard work and dedication continue to make the home such a special place for residents and their families.
Here’s to Many More Years
Five years is a wonderful milestone for Chestnut Manor, and the anniversary was the perfect opportunity to pause and celebrate everything the home has become since reopening its doors.
From an afternoon filled with delicious food and music to dancing in the courtyard. It was a celebration shared by the whole Chestnut Manor community.
Here’s to five fantastic years. And to many more years of care, community and celebrations.
