Two residents from Burford House Care Home, Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, recently discovered the joy of playing bowls for the very first time. This was thanks to a generous invitation from the team at Amersham Bowls Club. The special sponsored evening was filled with fun, friendship, and first-time experiences that brought smiles and laughter to all involved.

A Memorable Evening of Fun, Friendship and Firsts

Residents Leslie and Gerald were accompanied by Burford House Care Home Activities Lead and Westgate Healthcare’s Head of Sales and Marketing for this special outing. As they stepped onto the green, it was clear that the evening held something truly special, an opportunity to try something completely new.

“It was a lovely evening, from passing places I used to live near on the journey to the wonderful hospitality and setting,” said Leslie. “To try something new at our age was great fun. We were honoured to take part in the taster lesson.”

“We told everyone back at the home it’s never too late to try something new, thank you for inviting us” Gerald added with a smile.
