Westgate Healthcare Homes set to take part in Care Home Open Day

All of our homes across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex will be taking part in this year’s Care Home Open Day event on Friday 28th June.

Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative and this year’s theme is celebrating the role of Arts in Care. It encourages homes to open their doors to celebrate a different theme each year, with a few key values at its heart: friendship, making connections and celebrating older and vulnerable people.

Our homes hold regular open days and visitors are always welcome to pop in for a chat over tea and cake, but taking part in this national event allows us to encourage more people to schedule a time to come and visit. It’s an excellent opportunity as a care provider to challenge the stereotypes that people may have with care homes and celebrate the work we do and how much we care.

Each of our homes will have refreshments available throughout the day and their will be plenty of time to meet our teams and our beautiful residents.
