The Ashview Olympic Games Are Underway!

With the improvement in the weather last week, Ashview Nursing Home hosted their own Olympic Games complete with Olympic torch ceremony! Not only did it provide an opportunity for our team members and residents to show off their sporting prowess, it also provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone at Ashview to try something new. 

The Olympic Games saw residents and team members take part in a number of activities to suit every ability, including: swimming, boxing, gymnastics, weightlifting, riding, cycling, golf, uneven bars, football, and martial arts.

Those who did not participate in the games, still showed their support by cheerleading and score keeping!

One of our upcoming Olympians said: ‘Amazing! Yet again, you do not disappoint! Whatever next I wonder? Your Olympics exploits are fast become the highlight of my day! Thank you!’

Daniela Danciulescu, Home Manager said: ‘Much of our happiness depends upon our ability to spread happiness around us, and the Olympic games has helped with this. The most prestigious award from our Olympics is to be together with our big family.’

Ashview and Westgate Healthcare continuously work hard to make sure that our residents can do anything they want to, and that includes reaching for the Gold medal!
