Residents and staff of Westgate House regularly enjoy sharing story time and cakes with their young neighbours, the children from First Steps pre-school.
Interacting with people of a different generation can be very valuable to both parties. The children benefit from the praise and feedback they receive from residents, and the residents thoroughly enjoy the interaction with the children- it really seems to bring out the best in them.
