St Pauls Care Centre Renovates White Hart Pub

St Pauls Care Centre Pub

The pub will become the hub for social gatherings at St Pauls Care Centre after its complete refurbishment in 2023.

A care home in Hemel Hempstead has refurbished part of its Dementia unit to recreate a pub for its residents to enjoy. The pub offers a familiar scenic environment for residents to relax and gather.

The modern pub comes with many reminiscent features such as a dart board, menu board, and bar feature complete with a bell for last orders.

The renovated White Hart at St Pauls, has been designed so those who live with Dementia can enjoy it safely and independently.

Lifestyle Manager, Justine Charlesworth, said: “They have an alternative area to socialise in a familiar and more normalised setting. The aim was to recreate the feeling of ‘their local’, using traditional accessories and modern touches.”
