Residents reminisce with Punch & Judy show

Residents at Westgate House and Ware Mayor Alexander Curtis, had a real treat at their Christmas Party this year when Mr Punch and Judy, Benjamin Hasker, visited them with a performance of the classic Punch and Judy show.

Featuring all of the classic characters in a hilarious action packed show, Benjamin uses the finest hand carved puppets and all housed within a traditional booth.

The "End Of The Pier Show" is a one man traditional variety show ideally suited for care home and older audiences, featuring Punch and Judy, Magic, Juggling, Balloon Modelling, and music from a hand cranked Victorian Busker Organ. The show brings back many happy memories for the residents

‘Our residents loved it and joined in very well with the show and sang along to all the songs’ said Shannon McClory, Head of Activities at Westgate House. Jim, a resident at Westgate House said ‘it was great, just like old times!’
