Chestnut Manor Care Home Turns 2!

Chestnut Manor team celebrated turning two with the residents and family members of the home, on Wednesday 20th September. The balloons and decorations were up, typical British weather meant the party was inside, however, the party was enjoyed by everyone who came.

Chestnut Manor had a live singer for the afternoon, a home made cake, freshly prepared by the chefs in the home, and a lavish, traditional afternoon tea, with everyone joining in with the singing or dancing.

David, a relative, commented ‘Joan enjoyed the music and definitely enjoyed the cake’. Geoff, one of the residents in the home, said “I haven’t had this much fun and danced like that for years, it really bought back memories of when I was younger.”

The nurses, carers and all the ancillary team joined in to enjoy the day. Donna from the Activities team said ‘Everyone here really is a credit and so professional, mixing the day with all this fun. These events take a lot of planning.’  Donna was relieved at the end it had been so successful and enjoyable for everyone who came along.

Home Manager Rosie Monger commented ‘The whole team worked hard to organise the event, and I am delighted to say their efforts were a huge success. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who makes Chestnut Manor an amazing place to call home, and for helping to make the day extra special. We’re very excited to see what’s in store for the next two years and beyond.”
