National Carers Week 2020
Happy National Carers Week from all of us here at Westgate Healthcare!
We are extremely fortunate to have dedicated, experienced, and skilled team members across all of our care homes and head office, who all support our residents in different ways.
Throughout National Carers Week, our teams have taken this opportunity to say thank you to one another. Many of our care homes have given their staff a social media shout out, including Hampden Hall which posted a lovely photo of the team, pictured above, introducing the team and thanking them for everything they do!
As our residents also love to show their appreciation to our wonderful teams, this week's lunch at St Pauls Care Centre was chosen by our resident, Mary – pictured below. Thank you, Mary!
The team at St Pauls Care Centre have also had overwhelming support from their extended St Pauls family. With gifts arriving from relatives and neighbours to thank the team for their continued hard work and dedication.
Kingfisher Nursing Home’s Home Manager, Mary Auyeh, took some time to reflect and thank her team for all their efforts. She said: “I would like to applaud the heroes of Kingfisher Nursing Home. What an amazing team we have! I am enormously proud of you all and I cannot thank all of you enough. Our residents have said that they are grateful to be in the care of such good and gifted hands.”
Soonita, a team member at Kingfisher said: “We value each other. As a team, with the support of every member of staff from management, nursing, kitchen and domestic staff, we have managed to get through this challenging time.”
Angie, Head of Activities at Kingfisher said: “Working in the healthcare sector is one of the most rewarding jobs. My Home Manager, Mary has changed my days so I can work and take care of my children too. I feel very lucky to be a part of such a good team.”
Teams across the Westgate Healthcare group have been sending each other ‘Thank you’ postcards, to show their gratitude to one and other.
