Local Communities Provide Wonderful Support

Over the past few weeks, our care homes have seen an overwhelming wave of generosity, support and positivity from their local communities, and we are extremely thankful!

All of our care homes have received an abundance of gifts from the local community, including flowers, treats, food and toiletries from local supermarkets and lots of donations from friends and relatives. We have also seen an influx of beautiful pictures and letters of support from local children and their families.

Kingfisher Nursing Home received many beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants from their local Tesco, whilst residents who live at Hampden Hall received a ‘sweet surprise’ from their local Tesco Express, and continue to receive letters of kindness from their local community.

Neighbours of St Pauls have been busy sewing laundry bags by hand for the staff to carry their uniform home in.  They have also received 22 postcards of kindness from students at their local Primary School – Broadfield Academy.

Ashview Nursing Home were delighted to receive a box of treats from their local pub ‘Fox and Hounds’. The treat box included shortbread cookies, chocolate brownies, and a very delicious lemon drizzle cake. While The White Hart bar at Westgate House received a generous donation from The Angel pub in Hitchin.

A team member at Byron House has spent her spare time making colourful ear protectors for her colleagues.
