Chestnut Manor Care Home round off Care Home Open Week with special guest Mayor of Redbridge

Chestnut Manor had a successful week at its annual Care Home Open Week, held from Monday 24th June to Friday 28th June. The event aimed to foster stronger community ties, provide insight into the exceptional care services offered, and celebrate the vibrant life within our care home.

The week-long event attracted several visitors, including family members, community leaders, healthcare professionals, and prospective residents. Activities included comprehensive guided tours, interactive workshops focusing on topics such as nursing care, funding and the importance of mental well-being, and engaging social events, all designed to showcase the high standards of care and the warm, welcoming environment our residents enjoy.

Our popular Arts and Crafts Fair featured local artisans, selling a wide array of handmade items, including jewellery, textiles, cards and edible goodies. One of our residents also had a stall showcasing her wonderful hand-painted cards and artistic talents. The diversity and quality of the crafts on display were widely praised by attendees.

The week concluded with a special Wimbledon themed party, welcoming Cllr Sheila Bain, Mayor of Redbridge, adding a touch of distinction to our celebration. From the delicious strawberries and cream to the wonderful entertainment, every moment was a smash hit.

At Chestnut Manor Care Home we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where our residents can thrive,” said Rosie Monger, Care Home Manager. “Care Home Open Week is a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome the community into our home, share our residents’ stories, and demonstrate the high standard of care and enriching activities we offer every day. It is incredibly rewarding to see the community come together to learn about and support the work we do. Our residents enjoyed the festivities, and our team is more motivated than ever to continue providing exceptional care. Thank you to the whole team for making this week such as success and we look forward to welcoming Cllr Sheila Bain again soon.”

Chestnut Manor Care Home remains committed to enhancing the lives of our residents through personalized care, innovative programs, and a supportive community environment. We look forward to welcoming new residents and continuing our tradition of excellence.
