Byron House host Innovations Day for staff and residents

Byron House Care Home in Aylesbury has hosted a day of fun activities to launch Westgate Innovations with the staff and residents. 

Each of the homes across the Westgate group will be empowering their staff and residents to join the innovations that have been designed to build quality relationships across the homes.

Chatterbox and Lifestyle Pioneers are unique to Westgate Healthcare and are designed to build meaningful relationships with our residents. The idea of Chatterbox is that at each staff handover, each member of our team will take a card from the box and ask their residents a questions – this can also be used as an engaging activity between a group of residents. 

The newest Innovation launched by Westgate Healthcare is Lifestyle Pioneers, a programme created to empower the communities within our care homes by encouraging residents to embrace their passions and to take the lead in evolving their lifestyles by continuing to do the things that are special to them.
