Burford House Care Home closed for luxury redevelopment

Burford House Care Home in Chorleywood, part of the Westgate Healthcare group, has closed its doors to make way for a redevelopment of the care home.

The new 46-bed complex, which is due to open in July 2022, will be equipped with a hair and nail salon and its own cinema whilst offering specialist residential and dementia care to residents.

Fortune Mutero, Home Manager at Burford House, said:
“Each of our residents at Burford House Care Home have moved to care homes of their choice that can provide the tailored care requirements for their individual needs. Myself and the team at Burford House will be looking forward to welcoming residents from across the community back into our care where they’ll be able to enjoy our new luxury home in 2022.”

Tara Teubner, Director at Westgate Healthcare, said:
“Westgate Healthcare is dedicated to providing excellent care to each of our residents and it’s time for us to carry out an extensive redevelopment of the home. There is a growing need for quality care that also offers exceptional facilities and our new luxurious care home will be fully equipped to cater to all of our resident’s wishes.

“Burford House is located in a tranquil part of Chorleywood with a comfortable and homely atmosphere for residents, and we’re devoted to providing all residents with an environment that offers them a safe and independent way of living with generous, luxurious en-suite rooms and a range of impressive facilities.”
