Management Accountant at Westgate Healthcare shortlisted for an award
Management Accountant, Richard Hammerman, was shortlisted as a finalist for the ‘Rising Star of the Year – (Qualified)’ category in The Finance Awards 2022. This award notices the hard work, dedication and passion of finance professionals across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Essex.
Westgate Healthcare’s Management Accountant, Richard Hammerman was shortlisted on the 4th October 2022, after successfully completing a virtual interview with a panel of five large industry names (Robert Walters, ICAEW Beds, Bucks & Herts, HSBC and RSM) on Thursday 22nd September 2022.
Richard is a much admired Westgate Healthcare employee, working three and a half years at the care group, receiving promotions and various other internal spotlights which include winning Westgate Healthcare’s ‘Star Awards’ for his helpful and altruistic qualities, staff recognition cards, public ‘thank yous’ and appreciation announcements.
Richard Hammerman, Management Accountant, said: “I love what I do, I have a real passion for supporting the business and helping my team and other departments achieve their goals through spreadsheets, trackers and templates on top of my day-to-day tasks.”
During the interview, the panel questioned his contribution, devotion and creativity in identifying and solving problems in his workplace.
Nicki Deakin, Assistant Accountant at Westgate Healthcare, said: “Richard is supportive and helpful. There is nothing too big or small which he won’t help with. He will take the time, listen to your problem and support you methodically”.

Richard and a selection of his team, including the Chief Executive Officer, Sanjiv Patel, will be attending the awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton, MK Dons Stadium, on 17th November 2022.
