Job type: Permanent, full time (39-44 hours per week + paid breaks and handover)

Salary: £15 to £17 per hour (£33,540 to £43,316 per annum) + £2,000 WELCOME BONUS*

Part time or ‘bank’ positions also available. Optional paid overtime available.

Kingfisher Nursing Home is a cosy 22 bedded care home where we support residents with their nursing and care needs. We are a small and friendly home with a great team and a welcoming atmosphere. You will find us on the ground floor of Emmanuel Lodge, situated in a delightful area of parkland on the outskirts of Cheshunt where there is easy access to shops and bus services.

The Role:

We are looking for Registered Nurses who can lead their shift and supervise and develop the care team to support the delivery of high quality and individualised care to our elderly residents. You will build close relationships with your residents, championing their safety, dignity and well-being, and act as a role model in the delivery of excellent medical, physical and emotional care. The post holder will also be responsible for carrying out Nursing duties associated with the role, including medication management, wound management, care reviews and audits.

You will act as a Named Nurse for your own group of residents, assess resident needs, produce effective risk assessments and care plans, keep relevant records up to date and develop the plan of care as required according to changing care needs.

In this post you will be required to work in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines, NMC code of conduct and relevant legislation.

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Recognised qualification as Registered Nurse
  • Hold valid and current NMC registration and pin number (we will consider applicants who are awaiting their NMC pin number)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in and lead a team
