On arrival you can enjoy refreshments and a short introduction to the team. During the tour, you can expect a detailed look at our facilities, including the living spaces, common areas, and any special amenities we offer. Care fees at Byron House Care Home start from ยฃ1,650 per week for permanent residents. The cost depends on your individual needs and the level of care required. At Westgate, there is always something interesting to do. Each of our care homes has a dedicated activities coordinator that organises fun and stimulating activities for all our residents to get involved in if they wish to. Our catering teams create fresh, seasonal menus that change daily for both lunch and dinner. Each menu includes detailed information about allergies and accommodates all dietary needs, including soft diets. The cost of care varies depending on the type of care required, the level of support needed, and the specific services included. At Westgate Healthcare we tailor each care plan for individualโs needs. Our weekly fees are calculated following a comprehensive pre-admission assessment and can vary by the level of care required, room chosen and between each home. For more information please ask to speak to the Customer Services Manager or Home Manager.
Care fees may change during your stay due to various factors, such as changes in care needs, additional services required, or adjustments in funding arrangements. We are committed to transparency and will communicate any changes well in advance, ensuring you are fully informed. Regular reviews of your care plan will also help us determine if adjustments to fees are necessary based on your evolving needs. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to discuss them with us at any time.
Our fees include all major items for your peace of mind, such as your 24-hour care package, accommodation, housekeeping, catering and security services amongst others. Items that may not be included vary by home but in general include items such as hairdressing, Dental care, chiropody and optician visits, telephone line rental and call charges, escorts to booked appointments and specialist outings, transportation, daily newspapers.
Short term private respite care provision is available via a pre-booking system. Minimum 2 weeks stay is required to guarantee availability, subject to assessment. Please contact the Home Manager to discuss in further detail.
We will conduct a detailed assessment to finalise your personalized care plan, ensuring it meets your specific needs and preferences. Youโll need to complete some paperwork, including any necessary medical documentation, funding arrangements, and personal information forms. Our teams will discuss the logistics of your move, including a moving date and any support you may need during the transition. Once you move in, weโll provide an orientation to help you settle in, meet team members and residents, and familiarise yourself with the facilities and activities. Weโll continue to support you as you adjust to your new home and regularly review your care plan to ensure it remains aligned with your needs.
Residents have the option to choose their room, depending on availability. During the admission process, you can discuss your preferences with the team, who will do their best to accommodate your wishes. If your preferred room isnโt available at the time, the team can provide information on when it might become available or suggest similar options that suit your needs. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, so feel free to ask about any specific preferences you have.
We encourage residents to bring photos and their most loved possessions making them feel comfortable and happy in their new home. Ensuring the safety of residents is paramount, our Home Managers will be pleased to agree and document any items they may choose to bring.
