Westgate Healthcare was established in 1993 with the acquisition of a small residential care home and has grown steadily to its current position of operating 400 beds.

We recognise that the UK demand for care of the elderly will grow this century as the proportion of elderly people within the population increases, and we have begun discussions with local authorities in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire to explore how we can work with them to help increase capacity now and in the future.

We currently have a number of development projects in the pipeline, which include new purpose built Care Centres as well as the development of existing homes. 

In addition to this we are investigating the areas of care that research suggests will face a severe shortage of beds going forward, such as dementia care and we are continually looking for further new opportunities.
